Risk Based Inspection (SHELL - RBI, API & Custom Build Approaches)

In RISK BASED INSPECTION services, each piece of equipment has its own, tailored inspection plan that includes probable damage mechanisms, inspection planning requirements, locations and methods for inspection, future inspection intervals and a RBA, which takes into account process conditions, materials of construction, current condition, and the effects of downtime associated with a failure. Results of this assessment provide the end user with detailed information as to when and why inspection intervals are set as well as why access is needed to certain areas of the equipment. Our team of engineers, with knowledge in all areas of mechanical integrity, materials of construction, and process controls provide simplified assessments without the major cost of highly quantitative and cumbersome RBAs

On Steam Inspection

On Steam Inspection performed For :
1. Leaks: All leaks shall be located and reported. Special attention shall be given to Tee Joints, RF Pads; small bore connections like Vents & Bleeders and Valves.
2. Misalignment: All misalignment shall be noted and reported.
3. Pipe Supports: Bare Pipes are supported on Wear Pads and Insulated Pipes are supported by Shoe Supports at all support locations. All supports shall be inspected to check for whether proper support is used, for missing, misalignment, improper welding, general corrosion, etc.
4. Vibrations, if any shall be noted and reported.
5. External corrosion shall be noted and reported: External corrosion can take place for the following reasons. All observations and extent of corrosion and metal loss shall be captured during the inspections.
a) Atmospheric corrosion
b) Steam impingement, Salt Water dripping, Oil dripping, etc.
c) Fouling of Pipelines with each other
d) Painting, Insulation damages – all damages shall be reported. Any damage which can be serious threat to the Pipeline integrity shall be thoroughly inspected and suitable replacement or repairs shall be marked.
e) Mechanical damage, sagging, etc.
6. Internal corrosion shall be noted and reported. Any major loss of thickness shall be Reported Inspection Engineer.
Agency shall prepare all Reporting Formats, viz. Reporting, Sketching, etc. and get its approval from clients Inspection Engineer in-charge before starting of the job. Comprehensive Inspection and thickness measurement shall be immediately started after approval of Isometric Sketch and TML/CML by client Inspection Engineer.

Remaining Life Assessment

RLA is an Assessment Service to determine the remaining economic lifetime of the equipment in the power plant system by using certain technology, test, measurement, and also processing of operation and maintenance data so the best decisions in further asset management can be taken in advance. This assessment covers a broad range of process industries and power/utility industries. We determine the remaining life of critical components through rigorous analysis of thermal/ mechanical stresses, natural frequencies and mode shapes, crack initiation, crack propagation and creep. In addition, we supplement this with a full line of stress and vibration testing

Fitness For Services (FFS)

FFS evaluation methods are less conservative than design and in-service codes and standards, providing a whole new level of evaluating flaws to determine if the affected equipment truly is worth repairing or can be left in service, as is.
