The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Final Inspection is a major project of project where the equipment manufacturer and/or system integrator demonstrates that the system design and manufacturing meets the contract or Purchase Order (P.O.) specifications. FAT & Final Inspection must be conducted formally and be witnessed by the system owner and/or project manager, with a formal record of discrepancies and non-conformities and how they are to be handled. The testing included in a FAT procedure, attendance by vendor/system integrator, and by the system owner and/or project team and Check of the documentation. All discrepancies and non-conformities of the system should be compiled into Punch Lists. Site acceptance test SAT is an useful tool to determine the functionality of the equipment at the user site before its commissioning and the tests show whether the system interacts correctly with all other systems at the site.

Verify that system documentation is complete.
